Regional Sales Manager – Pumps

This position is responsible for developing and executing a business development strategy for all industrial products and all related services offered in an assigned U.S. regional area. The position has direct accountability for achieving sales results by managing sales channels within the assigned territory.

A significant amount of travel is required in order to closely work with all sales channels to achieve sales results. The position will require team work and co-ordination with centrally located project engineers, project managers, service personal and marketing located at the local headquarters.

Essential Functions:

  • Achieve sales growth targets by developing and executing a business development plan.
  • Technical knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, blowers and compressors.
  • Develop strong working relationships with all sales channels – ends users and distributors.
  • Contract negotiation, including legal and financial details.
  • Business strategy and competitor analysis knowledge
  • Co-ordinate & conduct product training to all sales channels.
  • Analyze and identify market trends and provide feedback to all support teams.
  • Manage sales channel performance in order to optimize our position within the assigned territory.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is preferred or a similar technical degree.
  • At least 5-7 years relevant experience in the rotating equipment industry.
  • Proven sales success
